  • You start to appreciate your own company and appreciate the peace and quietness

Comparison to other people always leads to unhappiness as you always focus on becoming better than the other person. You only want to grow or improve yourself to become better than other people. Comparison is a trap that leads to unnecessary stress and unhappiness. No matter what other people are doing, comparing yourself to them is never a good idea.


The key to happiness is to stop comparing yourself to others and instead focus on becoming the better version of yourself. By this, I don't mean that you have to hide who you are or pretend to be someone you are not, it simply means you have to be true to yourself and stop trying to be better than yourself. Happiness lies in the present moment not in comparing your life to others.

Let go of the things you can't control. No matter what life throws at you, you have the power to choose the way you behave. Focusing on the things you can control is one of the best things that you can do to stay happy and positive, even when things are tough.

  • Make a list of everything you are grateful for.
